Patriots select OL George Bussey Lousville

By Greg

The Patriots have selected George Bussey out of Lousville. Bussey comes in at 6'2 and 300 lbs. Again with this pick the Pats get younger on the offensive line and gives the Patriots insurance if many OL' s leave next season because they can not be signed.
Bussey was a Two time All Big East Selection so this guy has talent. It will be interesting to see the compeition between Bussey, Ohrnberger and Volmer. Bussey was on the watch list for best offensive line men in the nation in his senior year but he was injured and did not have the year he wanted to.

Also in his Sophmore year he allowed ZERO sacks for a team that threw the ball a ton. Sounds like a good pick to me

From ESPN

Freshman Year

Bussey went to Louisville as a walk-on and redshirted his first year. He played in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman on offensive line and special teams.
Sophomore Year
Bussey started all 13 games, playing both offensive tackle and guard. He didn't allow a sack all season and was named first team All-Big East.
Junior Year
Bussey started all 13 games at offensive tackle. He allowed just two sacks and was named second team All-Big East.
Senior Year
Before the 2008 season, Bussey was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the nation's best interior lineman. However, he suffered a sprained left ankle against Tennessee Tech and missed the next game against Kansas State. He was limited to 10 games of action in 2008, but was still a first team All-Big East selection, playing at both guard and tackle.
