Peter King of SI reported that the Patriots are trying to trade up into the Top 10. King says that there are two trade partners that the Pats could deal with: Packers and Jags. They are looking to trade their 1st rounder (23) and one of their second rounders (48 most likely). King speculates that Tyson Jackson a versatile DE from LSU is the guy the Pats are looking to take or an unknown offensive player.
NE Patriots Blog speculates that it could also be a guy like Micheal Oher or Andre Smith, two stud tackles who could shore up the offensive line.
I would not approve of this trade. I think that picks in the 20's this year are just as valuable as picks 8-20. I would not want to give up one of our second round picks. This draft is deep with talent and I think the Pats can grab four potential starters with their first four picks.
