Rodney Harrison retires and goes to the NBC booth

By: Greg

Hard hitting Harrison is calling it quits after 15 seasons of pigskin. Harrison will join the crew at NBC and become a broad caster.

"The move was expected. Harrison was part of NBC's coverage of Super Bowl XLIII in February and also did work for the NFL Network during the playoffs. His contract with the Patriots expired after the 2008 season."- Globe

Harrison joined the NBC crew a few times over the last few years. He did a very nice job breaking down the games he did and I think just like on the field he will excel at his new job. It will be fun to see what he has to say from week to week because we all know that he WILL say what is on his mind with little to no filter.

Harrison said that 4 to 5 teams expressed interest in him but he decided it was time to go.

With the Patriots, Harrison was part of two superbowl wins and an emotional leader. He is the only player in NFL history to be part of the 30-30 club, 30.5 sacks and 34 interceptions.

He will be missed.

Thank you Rodney!
